PRESS Short Course: Promoting Relevant Education in Science for Sustainability

The Depart­ment of Science Educa­tion, Faculty of Mathe­ma­tics and Natural Sciences, Univer­sitas Negeri Malang, organized a Short Course on Promo­ting Relevant Educa­tion in Science for Sustaina­bi­lity on July 17, 2025. Prof. Ingo Eilks as the keynote speaker of the short course presented 3 topics, namely: 1) The founda­tion of Sustaina­bi­lity; 2) Educa­tion for Sustainable Develo­p­ment; 3) The Meaning of Relevant and Its Impli­ca­tions for Science Educa­tion and Educa­tion for Sustainable Develo­p­ment. The short course was attended by 185 student teachers and lectu­rers of the Science Educa­tion Depart­ments of Univer­sitas Negeri Malang, Univer­sitas Sultan Ageng Tirta­yasa, Univer­sitas Truno­joyo Madura, Univer­siti Techno­logy Malaysia, Univer­sity of Northern Philippines.
